Buzzing Noice!

wassup guys..I FINALLy just installed some infiniti speakers into my car powered by an infiniti amp as well. theres one big problem though, whenever I accelerate I hear this buzzing noice that gets louder as I accelerate in my speakers. WHen my volumes low, the noice is more noticeable. People tell me its my wiring, I've checked, and I see nothing wrong. Could it be that I have a factory head unit?

Did you run the power cable down the same side as your RCA interconnects? That's what it sounds like...I had that problem in my last car and had to re run the interconnect down the passenger side instead.

You need a more solid ground.

it is electrical interference. do what the others said above by separating the wires.

just a side note, most RCAS available today have MORE than enough shielding to block EFI. That being said, seperate them =0p

The noise you hear is interference from the alternator. Make sure you have a solid ground point, sand the paint away and make sure its bolted down tight. and of course make sure your RCAs are at least a foot away from your power wires.
Nascar would be a sport if half the cars were driving the other direction.

The thing is I'm not using any RCA cables because I still have a stock head unit. So I should just separate my speaker wires from my power wires basically?

Hmm, dunno if the speaker wires would cause that interference. It's possible I guess. Did you check your ground wire? I had a similar problem in my 91 Camry until I sanded down the metal around the ground connection and bolted it down better.

using a hi-to-low converter inside the amplifier, or crossing the speaker wires and power, within 18 inches of the amp, could induce noise into the converter. I do wonder now that if the ground is solid, more along the lines of the paint not being stripped off around the ground..though someone already said that
