personally i think that the best value with good sound would be the AVN-2454 from eclipse at a retail of 1999.00 . The pioneer Avic-n1 is proberly the most inclusive unit ever, although it doesnt have the sound quality of the eclipse, it too is a PHENOMINAL buy also at 1999.00. Now here is another dilema... Alpine has proberly the best screen on the market in the IVAD-300, however, the unit does not have navigation built in, its only available as an add-on. And until April, they still have a Nav price of 1700. so its 3200 hundred for the ultimate combo on the market. For me its the Avn from eclipse, i personally being a 99% CD user, will appreciate the sound of thiers the most. PLEASE, whatever you do make sure you get a warranty. All of these units are VERY expensive to fix. Eclipse comes with a 3 year warranty if purchased from an authorized dealer. Pioneer is a one year. In my opinion a three year warranty....ohh YA!! did i mention that the eclipse PLUGS IN! yes thats right eclipse is the original manufacturer for most toyota units, though pioneer is taking some of it away, its still plug and play. and the back up camera is a steal for 299.00.

P.s. I KNOW that there are quite a few of us on here that can get you either unit...............at a discount.........but most importantly a WARRANTY!.

If there is anything else i can answer for you...let me know :)

Did you ever get the AVN2454 installed? If so, do you know if it can play VCDs in the CD ROM slot? =D

I have the AVIC-N1 and I love it.

I had the pioneer Nav-SYS900DVD - great system but the AVIC-n1 is incredible
