i just posted this same thing last night and somehow it dissapeared so i need to ask this again.... :-?

I was checking out pictures of our car on SD and found a picture of the stock 6.5 speaker in the door and saw that it has a triangular "piece" or mount around the speaker with 3 screws holding the speaker in place in the corners of the triangle..... is this how our 6.5 speakers are mounted??? Do you need to make a mount or baffle to install aftermarket speakers?? How do you people with aftermarket speakers mount your speakers??? I never opened up the door yet so i dont know how it looks like but soon im going to be installing my own speakers and was confused how im going to be mounting it after i seen the picture...

here is the picture of the stock speaker.

and here is an aftermarket speaker with a mount made for it....

Our stock speakers are held by a triangular mount. I used the mounts that came with the aftermarket speakers. Just drill four holes in the door...easier than making another mount to make it fit the stock three holes.
