2003 Solara needs an amp solution

I've searched quite a bit, but I'm not really finding the answer I'm looking for.

Here's my question:

I'd like to put a computer in my car, so I'm going to take out the stock deck (I have the 6 CD Changer In-Dash Deck) and put in an amp to work with the computer's sound card. I have a tweeter on each door, as well as the bigger speaker toward the bottom of the door. Then there are the two speakers by the rear window.

In short:

What kind of amp(s) should I purchase to achieve quality comparable to or perhaps a little bit better than the stock?

I know nothing of car audio, so I'm not sure what kind of amp I need. Also, I'd like to save money. This doesn't mean I want a piece of crap, but I don't want something really expensive. I've seen 1000W 2CH amps on ebay for < $100, and that seems kind of odd to me. Also, I'm not changing the speakers or battery or anything (unless it's highly recommended due to the addition of a computer).

So seriously, just what kind of amp(s) should I get to replace the quality I had with stock?

umm..i think the stock amp already maximizes the use of the stock speakers. If ur gonna upgrade the amp, u'll need to upgrade the speakers.

For the computer...all u'll really need is a headunit with rca inputs to hook up to ur sound card.

Ok, so there's an amp in the car somewhere that's not part of the h/u?

I don't want a head unit, I am putting a touch screen in.

Forgot they changed it in 03...i think the amp is built into ur h/u.
If you can find a 20w x 4 amp, which i don't think anyone makes it that low... :roll:

New amp -> new speakers.
New headunit -> stock speakers.
