Anyone know if the touchscreen interface can be used for instance, as a usb input or something for a PC touchscreen?

nope, the touch screen is only works for the system interface nothing else

well I know for a fact that the touchscreen interface at least works with the optional GPS unit Kenwood makes (DV4100?), so I was assuming that whatever interface they are using could also be used for other things, or is it some proprietary thing that they will not release specs for

Kenwood makes a TV Tuner for that unit, he's probably receiving it ala broadcast antenna.

na i dont have the tv tuner yet, its music vidoez ripped off the televison and burnt on dvd

Yea it says 'factory reconditioned', but when I got it, it looked pretty freakin brand new in the box to me. All that means is that it was either repaired or replaced, it could be just as good or better than the factory sealed box.
