Its a real pain in the rear. No modification necessary, but your need to take out the rear shelf, which means you need to take out both quarter panels, and even the front seatbelt. In a coupe, its not a walk in the park.

Those crutchfield instructions was what I used.

tear off your shirt, scream like the hulk, then rip out the 6x9's with your bare hands. that always works for me.

Actually I used some gardening scissors which I thought were for metal cutting, and wore them down to bare metal cutting each brace for the 6x9s. Took me 1 1/2 hours and i got them out. Damn things were blown anyways from being played too loud thru my aftermarket h/u.

ok.. youll need to take off the carseat mounting brackets on the rear deck. youll also need to remove the handle behind the seats on both sides. Heres some picsImageImageImageImageImage then you should be able to just slide the rear deck out, and have access to the speakers. good luck

when my bf and i put the infinitys in.. we just took the stock speakers out of the basket and RTV'd the new speakers in, then used the stock basket with the new speakers. just be warned, depending on your stock radio and sound system ( i had the jbl "upgrade") you will ruin the stock speakers if you take it out of the basket. also you will need to RTV or seal on the underside too. or.. you can drill directly into the deck

Do you really have to remove all that shiznit just to get those little speakers out? If so I believe I'll just leave them there and get my new ones installed somewhere else...
