In-Dash Navigation Units

I am looking into getting a double-din in-dash navigation system. One of my requirements for the system is that it be compatible with the NavTraffic service because I live in Atlanta and want to be able to avoid some of these traffic jams. The Pioneer AVIC-D2 seems to be the most probable unit for me, even though its biggest downfall IMO is the fact that it does not include a DVD player. The other major contender is the Kenwood P-NAV6019
DDX-6019 + KNA-G510 Multimedia Navigation Combo Package. I like that unit better as far as looks go, but the navigation software doesn't seem to be as comprehensive as Pioneer's. I wanted to know if anyone has any pros/cons regarding any of these units or any reccomendations for other units. Thanks

I don't know if the unit is compatible with the service you talk about...but if so it can be a great deal...it is now 1800$ !!!

I definitely want a double-din unit because I want the space to be completely filled up, but thanks for the offer on th N-2. I do like the Eclipses, but unfortunately, they aren't compatible with XM or the NavTraffic updates :(

I'm not sure if this was thought about already, but why don't you get the pioneer avic-z1. Double din, 7" screen, blue tooth, can work with xm nav traffic. Has a samll hard drive in it. And its probably around the same price as you'd be paying for an eclipse.

p.s. if you end up with a pioneer I have a navtraffic brain with all wires for sale.

edit: check this website http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v ... =AVIC%20Z1

I looked at the Z1 as well. First of all it would run me about $600 more than the D2. Also, I have heard that the Z1 has a rather long boot time so start up, and that wasn't too appealing. How much for the navtraffic piece? I am leaning towards the D2 a little.

yeah the z1 is way over priced, but IMO for the options you get and the improved interface over the d or n models I think its worth it. PLus I heard the z1 was the easiest of all of them to bypass.
