Check out the new Eclipse Stuff. I'm getting the new AVN5495

It's got the 20Gig HD AND Navi. How sweet is that? 5 volt preouts as well, compared to the old .8 volts. Oh and they redesigned all the other cd players too.

I'll get it for you just over cost =P

The 8455 just looks too fancy for me lol... not much of a change from my 8454... although the Sirius tuner being built in is nice... the GPS read part is also sortta cool hahaha...

the hard drive + navi unit has been in japan for a while. This will certainly turn heads over here in the states... especially w/ the 5V preouts... the previous dbl din units only had 4V outs... not .8, like you said lol

Pioneer-esque look to these new ones. I, as well, like my old rubber clicky dial face eclipse h/u more than these, but I would not be deterred in buying one of these soley by looks. The application is where its at.

That stopped alot of people from buying it. The new AVN 5495 is going to be a hot seller. Do you have an idea on how much you can get it for? And do you know when it will be available?

No clue yet... but if it's like the AVN unit... it'll be on backorder 2 weeks after the initial shipment... I was waiting about 3 months for mine until I just gave up and installed a full system... I was originally only going to get the navi w/ stock speakers ... hahaha

What a difference a back-ordered part makes =P

I sure hope that they completely redisigned it from last years model. It really SUCKED. In my opinion, Eclipse is always behind in putting any new technology in there radios. There cool as long as all you want to do is play a brand new store bought cd. Even then, they had lots of trouble playing them at one time. I hope that you guys like Audiobahn aka. crap. You can blame Eclipses new design to the person that they just hired from Audiobahn.
