Santa Got Me an iTrip for My iPod!

I just finished programming my iPod so it will work with my new iTrip. It sounds pretty good! I'm going to probably be recharging my iPod battery a lot, but now I have CD, Sirius satellite, mp3, cassette (ya, I listen to that a lot), and AM and FM.

It's a small attachment that fits into the headphone jack on the iPod which sends an FM signal to my radio so I can play the iPod through my factory radio or any radio. I think it cost about $35.00.

I heard that an actual FM Modulator is a better investment for that type of deal.

FM modulation devices are ghetto. You only get a portion of the source frequency band, about 100hz to 15k hz. The sound is only as good as radio sound quality, which in case no one noticed, kinda sucks. If you want superior CD-quality sound with full frequency response (20hz to 20k hz) for the stock radio, go with the PIE TOY-AUX Auxiliary Input Converter http://www.logjamelectronics.com/pietoyaux.html . I know a lot of people probably don't know about this option, but it will sound 10x better than a lame FM modulator device. Check out the above referenced site for details. Btw, I'm not affiliated with the site, I just think it's a cool product. :fadein:

I just got a 20GB iPod and was wondering about that iTrip...I thought it was so you could listen to FM radio on the iPod...not listen to your MP3s in your car...guess I'll have to get one!
