I have a 12" JBL self-powered sub (home entertainment). I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to hook this up to my car. Also I don't have a stock radio, but a Dual dvd/cd player. If it is possible how would I go about doing it.

With your reciever you will need to make sure it has an AUX out or get a linelevel output converter (LOC).

And also a power inverter powerful enough to run the HT amp, which is probally pertty powerful. It might be cheaper and a better longterm investment to get a real amp and sub and install it yourself.

^^ I agree

You'll need an expensive inverter to be able to power a sub running AC.

In addition: car speakers are built to withstand freezing / scorching temperatures and high humidity. I don;t know how well a home stereo unit will put up with the environment in a car.
