First of all you need to decide what exactly your looking for... consider clarity, quality, price, speaker life, before making any decisions as they aspects will greatly affect your buying choice. But unless you make these decisions you're going to get yourself into a nasty situation.

If you have very little money they'd be fine and especially for a first system.

IMO, I would never use Sony amps or subs, that's just me. That and those subs are single voice coil, 4 ohms, and 1200 watts is quite a bit of power, you'll need to invest in a capacitor and prolly some better wiring.

Nothing wrong with SVC type subs.

1200 watts is max, that amp supposedly does 500 watts rms x 1 when bridged. Can you do better for the money, sure, but you gotta know what to look for.

Nope, a Capacitor is about the worst investment in car audio. Capacitors are a gimmick. They do nothing for your system.

Caps are bad?? All that I can say is, my lights dim when my system is on. I put a cap in and it doesnt dim any more.
