This weekend I put in my new. Pioneer DEH-P7700MP

Image

So easy. Just follow the tutorial.

My only problem was I was in such a hurry to get the stocker out. I left 6 CDs in it. I spent about an hour searching my house and car for my CDs. I left them in the stock 6 disc headunit DOH!!!! They were all burned copies. So its not big deal. Just found it humerous.

 :drinking:  8)

If you didn't permantely splice your factory harness you should be able to plug OEM harness back to the factory 6 disc CD player and get them out.

stock 6-disc

Postby Sentinel » Wed Sep 14, 2005 9:18 am

Would you be interested in selling the stock, 6 disc changer? Mine no longer plays CDs, and I am not particuarly interested in spending $$ for a real stereo.
The stock unit (I assume you have the JBL speakers) sounds fine for someone who is not interested in impressing anyone, and in my neighborhood: no one is interested in stealing a stock stereo.

I love the headunit the MP3 Cd feature alone makes it worth the money. I have 200 songs on 1 CD with folders and that stuff. I wanted to buy a IPOD and the car dock. But Im not going to bother just keep using my Ishuffle for on the go music and mp3 cds. The remote is a bit confusing. But I feel I will pick it up over time. The little videos are very distracting for night driving. Too much flash and color change. I turn them off. It's over all an awesome unit. Glad I bought it. I am still wiring up my subs, and my amp. I can wait for some bass....

Your write up. On by-passing the factory amp.

That is my plan when I add my in-dash screen.

System of a Down, Rage Againest the Machine, Britney Spears, Kenny Chesney, Burned CDs (2) They were copies so its no big loss.

A few people have asked me. I am unsure if I want to keep it, if I sell/turn in in the future. I would want to keep my current HU. So I doubt it.

my computer at work has crashed 3x (crappy intel onboard graphics...)... so they just swap the unit instead of fixing it. Each time they took a computer from me, they also took my mp3 cds x_X Granted I've played the crap out of it by the time they pick up the computer anyway =P I have like 16 mp3 cds in my desk x_X
1GR-FE ftw!
