Bass Knob or No Bass Knob?

Bass Knob or No Bass Knob?

Postby Mossy » Mon Sep 12, 2005 2:30 pm

I just got my amp a Hifonic TX1005D.

It came with a Bass Knob. Do I need to hook up the bass knob?

I have a Pioneer DEH-P7700MP. I can tottally control my subwoofer preouts with my headunit. I assume that this knob will not help my amps performance any.

The Controls on the deck doesnt control the Amp... The Amp Control Knob controls the Amp truely. I say hook it up for better tuning of both controllers

Well, I talked to a person that I would call above and beyond the term expert. He said, no need for the knob. I will control it via the sublevel on the deck. All that knob does is bump up the frequency. He said I should set my gains to the highest possible, with the woofer level on 0 on my HU. That way I can bump it up for a song or down fora song. This will give more control than the bass knob. The knob only effected the frequency of the bass certain notes. The bass level does it across the board.
