Nice to see you here Cam2x.. Yup, bought a Solara in January.. I was planning on building it for IASCA Street 601+ but IASCA doesn't hold any comps in Northern Cal anymore and I don't feel like driving all the way to LA every month to compete :/.
HSKR, for a more thorough deadening job, you can definitely use more than 1 roll (I'll probably use 4 in mine when all is said and done), but you can also do a very thorough deadning job with just one roll (or less) as well if you're smart about it, and diminishing returns can start to kick in beyond that. The Solara presents a particularly simple job since it's the best built car Toyota offers IMO - the outer door skin, for example, doesn't need much deadening since it's got a bar welded onto it to increase rigidity. Providing you use the tap+deaden method to identify resonating areas on the outer skin and use a piece of plexi+RTV sealant to seal the large door gap instead of just covering it with mat, you can do a pretty good job without using that much mat. If you then covered the entire trunk in one layer and then used tap+deaden to identify trouble spots, and did the trunk lid with one layer, you should still have over a half roll left over.
But then again, if you wanna go all out, go for it - certainly doesnt hurt

Pfunky, I'd reccomend against a basslink. Although the price is low, it's really not that great of a sub - lacks good low-end extention and doesn't have much output. It's really better suited to installs where space is very tight (i.e. trucks). I'd reccomend something like an Image Dynamics ID12 (in DVC 2ohm) or a HSU ASW-1203 (http://www.hsustore.com/asw1203.html) mated with any cheap amp that you can bridge down to throw out ~2-400w. If you don't mind going with a used amp, there are plenty around these days that are great amps and can be had for very little. Couple examples:
