Pioneer AVIC-D1 question.....

Pioneer AVIC-D1 question.....

Postby nj99solara » Sat Jun 11, 2005 6:12 pm

I just got a good deal on it today and I was reading the manual and like all the other monitor/radios it says that it will not play while the car is in gear and moving. I know from past experiences with the piooneer AVX-7000 that all you have to do is ground the emergency brake wire and all the other radio/monitors will play, but this one has a catch now since the AVIC-D1 has nav it has the emergency brake wire and a speed sensor wire for the nav, my question to all of you who might know is there anyway to bypass this and have it play dvd's while not parked??
(I hope somebody has had experience with this model and it is possible because if not I wasted alot of money for nothing).
Thanks in advance, i'll keep my fingers crossed for some helpful replies....

You know that for the AVIC-D1, you need an external DVD player right? It doesnt play DVDs on its own.

I dont think it will be possible, because the D1 and N2 now require the speed sensor.

You're welcome, but do at your own risk, I have no experience with that unit, just remembered seeing that post.
