Spell checking and grammatical correctness also, "ROCKS".

You may want to look into an aftermarket headunit w/ AUX inputs... that'll be better than any 'addon' to the stock headunit...

Alpine has iPod inputs in their units now... so you probably want to go with them.

Shuffle doesnt take the iPod Inputs, it doesnt have the dock interface. The only way to do it is a) through a cassette adaptor or b) through an FM adaptor that plugs in through the headphones jack and not the dock interface.
Ive heard all FM adaptors so far for Ipods are garbage though, and cassette adaptors arent so great either.

You can do the iTrip if you really want too, I just dont know how impressed youll be.

If you get an aftermarket deck with an aux input you could use a RCA to mini headphone cable. No dock interface needed.

iTrip is kinda dumb...i bought one and the reception is pretty poor...unless you get the full car kit you'll only be disappointed...

but like jon said, the ishuffle doesn't support the same accessories...

AUX2Car (formerly known as AUX-BOX) works fine. See the install pics/tuts in the G2 Tutorials. You wont have any special control of your iPod but you'll get good sound piped through the stock head with a 30 minute DIY install and no cosmetic changes. Sound is great but there's a 10 tick drop in volume. (30 on the radio = 40 on the Aux input)

I think it's better than changing your head unit (cheaper too)... My one stereo with Aux input was an MP3/CD player anyway... so I never used the input. O! the Irony!

I totally agree on those FM adaptors being junk. In the past I purchase two types of these FM radio adaptors and only to kicck them to the curb. The products were from Monster and LG. The Monster version worked a little better (so i thought) than the LG until I drove in an area filled with cell phone towers. I eventually when to a HeadUnit interface setup. Boy what a enlightment it was. The unit is made by Pioneer and the product number is listed under CD-IB100. That box is clean. Gladly a welcome addition to any setup (only with some Pioneer units that have the IB bus connections).
