Eclipse AVN 2454 vs Eclipse 5435

First I thought I wanted the Kenwood DDX7015 dual din DVD player (cost $1100), then I saw the Eclipse dual din unit. The only difference in the AVN2454 ($1500) which is last years model and the AVN5435($1800) this years model is the pre amp out puts increased from 2V to 5V. How much of a benifit is this really? Is it worth $300 more?

I know the difference between the Kenwood and Eclipse ($400) is worth it because you get the navigation and sat radio already included with the unit.

Thanks in advance.

.8V to 5V is only worth it if you have a COMPONENT and SUBWOOFER amp... if you're running the headunit's amp, then it's useless.

Benefits: Faster response times, able to be wired to work w/ steering wheel controls. Looks better... a few others... better sound quality is probably the most notable one.
1GR-FE ftw!
