Yeah the 360 amp should do good, for the 8" L7.
I have a 10" L5 and i bumped it a couple of times wit a 300 watt amp, and was feelin' the vib in my back. I also put 500 watts to the same sub i have wit no remote that came wit it, and it was bumpin' loud as hell. No only if i had the remote bass in, i would be loud like no other.
Plus my L5 is custom ported on the back side of the box behind the sub.
[If you look at the ported box Kicker suggests, think of my port on the back piece of the box, behind the sub.]
Damn only if i could put it back in.
Got to make another box for it, porbably.
Are you goin' sealed, or ported??
If you live close to OKC, i could make one for you, probably make it custom fitted to your trunk in case someone trys to break in the are goin' to have a hell of a time to try to get it out.

Most remotes are the equivalent of having them turned all the way down if you detach them, but some are turned all the way up. Also, even if your remote is turned all the way down (depending on the model, they all work differently) you should be able to set the gain to compensate for it.
Nascar would be a sport if half the cars were driving the other direction.
