loud noise when my fan (heat or a/c) is on (help) img + vid

hi guys, lonnnnnnnggggggggg time no post

i have a 2002 manual se v6 w/around only 42k miles. i started to hear a constant loud sound when i turned my a/c on a few weeks ago (however, the sound is constant whether it's on heat or a/c). the sound gets louder as i speed up the fan.

i think the sound is coming from a fan behind the glove compartment.

video is a bit dark, but at least you can hear the sound.

does anyone know what the problem is and or how to fix it? what part is that? is it easy to replace? i'm not great with cars, but i can take apart the glove compartment and install a stereo system in my car and put it back together.

find the blower motor and remove it, check it out, might be something you can fix without spending any money. if you dont know what to look for... then search online for the blower motor for your solara as if you wanted to buy one, you'll find plenty of pictures of the part.

nvd, i got it out, cleaned it up, and i'm about to put it back in to see if it works!

woot, i cleaned it up and it's back to normal. thanks a lot man, saved me $100+
