Shifter Cable Broken

Shifter Cable Broken

Postby LarryD » Wed Sep 01, 2010 10:09 am

I suspect that the shifter cable has either broken or come off at the shifter. I watched the shifter arm on the transmission as someone moved the shifter in the car. There was no movement and no vibration anywhere, leading to me conclude it was no longer connected. This is a 2000 SLE. I haven't found any documentation on how to remove the center console area. If someone could point me in the right direction or has any other troubleshooting tips I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks....
