Sloppy shifter...

Sloppy shifter...

Someone please help me... I cant seem to figure this out.. As of very recently, within the past week. there has been play in my shifter when shifting upwards to lets say 1st 3rd or 5th, but mainly 3rd cause its straight up... Goes into gear fine, no grinding or anything like that... But even after it goes into gear, i can still push the shifter about another half inch. I checked the bushings on the tranny there fine, and I tried lookin under the shifter to see anything... nothing.. Going into 2nd 4th or R is fine, nice n stiff once it goes in gears... Anyone ever run into anything like this or has anyone stretched there shifter linkage if its even possible? Really really annoying,

Thanks
