Would the auto shifter setup from a gen 2 solara fit on a gen 1?

also i believe i read on here es300 guages will work on the gen1? is this true

I believe the shifter will not work. The shifter you show doesn't have a button for O/D.

To get that, you'd have to swap the actual U151E transmission into the car.

No the shifter won't work. I'm not sure about the gauges though.

no gated shifter conversion. i think some guys have replaced the the shifter though. i cant find the threads right now.

Haha, no it's an auto. I just bought a shift boot on ebay and stuffed it under the shift cover. It's secured by the screws that are already under there.

It's too bad that shifter wont work it would look bad ass in a 1st gen solara.
i wonder if there would be a way to custom make one? Is the 04 camry shifter computer controlled or is it still the cable to the linkage like the 1st gen?
