so i have have s 2001 solara, i think its the most basic model. the problem is when accelerating, i need to take it to 40 mph to run smoothly. Below 40 mph, theres like resistance to the pedal. How can i improve on acceleration so it runs smoothly from what ever speed im at?

ok, its like you can feel the difference in accelerating when pressing on the pedal below and above 40mph. Its like easier to drive above 40mph. I feel like I have to give it more gas when going below 40mph. metaphorically its like going over a hill, in which 40 mph is the peak.

I feel you on that. my solara is weak in low-end power. even lurches sometimes from a stop.
