Ive been looking at this car and the guy is asking $3000 for it. Its a 99 solara and let me just post the description and the pictures:

Selling my 1999 Toyota solara, black on black leather, V6, 5 speed manual, with 117k miles, im the third owner, car has always been taken care of, oil changes are regular at 3000 miles, tire rotations are every 7k miles. nothing leaks on the bottom of the car, ac is blowing cold air, leather is in supreme condition, sunroof works perfect, windows go up and down, driver window is auto, shifts like it should smooth with no sounds, the clutch is in excelent condition was changed at 90k miles, the car performs excelent in snow, while other cars are stuck. will come with alarm/remote start, you have a radius of 2 city blocks to start it, has a safety so that it wont remotely start when in a gear. has an i pod connection so you can charge and play music on the pioneer system, JBL sound, when going 70 and pressing on the brake there is no vibrations, rotors are straight, wheel does not move. xenon lights in headlights and in fog lights (on one of the fog lights the bulb went out).
power driver sit, cd/mp3/ipod radio
Just put in new breaks front and rear. the car is original never was painted and never been in a serious accident,

I have a couple of dents on it, if you look at the right side fender you will see a dent there, but its the original parts, and the hood has a little dent see the pictures.

car runs and drive supper, engine is powerful and takes off when needed, 210HP. Xenon Headlights, with Xenon Fog lights, spoiler, remote start with alarm, very powerful JBL sound system, Tints, Supper nice tires, in great condition. 16 inch rims OEM.

the only thing you might want to change in future is the oxygen sensor, as the check engine light came on about a month ago, went to a dealer and he advised me that the O2 sensor needs to be replaced.

I had the car since 2007 and never had any problems with it,

last year I changed all struts and all the strut mounts with KYB struts, also changed bushings and right front control arm just because i wanted it to drive new.

I am in the military and deploying, need to sell it.

Is it worth buying for 3000? Yes? No? Any suggestions?

Have you seen the pics? Exterior has allot of nicks and the two dents he mentions.

Also, how much mileage should I expect to get on a V6?

And how much would the oxygen sensor cost?

I saw the pics. I bought mine (black 99 SE V6) with a torn up bumper which was expensive for $4700. It has 140K miles on it and runs great. I also need a new oxygen sensor. I have the CEL to prove it haha. If you properly take care of it the car will last you awhile. And, if I'm not mistaken, I think an O2 sensor will cost you about $90.

It depends which onygen sensor it is but it shouldn't be more than $200. This is a typical issue in Solaras over 100k miles so dont let this minor issue scare you away. As for the dents, check all the panels to see if the VINs match up and GET THE CARFAX!!!! I'd get it for $3000.

Depends on what "parts" you are looking for.

CEL = Check Engine Light

General things like for maintaince (timing belt, water pump, brake pads, rotors, stuff that has to be maintained over the car's life).

He was asking 3100 on craigslist.

I am sure this is not gonna get over 2500 on ebay...and then i wanted to offer him 2800 but i'll go for 2700 first now.

I also have time on my side. My car will last for another month so I have time to look around. Theres a nice 02 WRX on ebay but I think it will go too high and the mileage is 234,000. Looks nice tho but all my friends warned against over 180k mileage.

Also at 120k dont you get the timing belt, water pump, and other belts replaced? This is at 117k so would i be needing it soon and how much can it cost upto? 500? 800? This guy looks like he did all the work himself so I doubt if he will have any receipts for the work done.

sounds like quite the author. gotta lotta nice things to say about that bad boy. spoiler, super tires, jbl, excellent in snow...

i'd say before you set your heart on it, go check it out first. you can't go with a mindset that this is the car you definitely want, or else you may get swayed into buying something that ain't worth it, or overlook some major problems.

sounds good though. gl.
