Seat disassembly instructions?

Seat disassembly instructions?

Postby mazen222 » Tue Jul 14, 2009 11:25 am

Does anyone here know how to disassemble the driver side seat from the Gen 1?

I mostly want to remove the butt leather piece and the one where the back rests on out of the car.

I'm afraid to brake the electrical motor controls.

(if i'm able to do that, i will soon provide a tutorial on how to install heated/cooled oem seats  )

Thanks,
Mazen

Not sure about the back rest, but to remove the butt piece, you'll need to take the seat off the car. Once its off the car, I think there are 4 c-rings on the bottom, that hold the sides on, then you just remove the buttons for the power controls, and the cover underneath them (this all just pops off) and pry the cover off the metal lip. Beware, those c-rings are a pain to put back on.

there are 4 bolts that hold it down 2 in the front and 2 in the back undo those and there are two plugs under the seat that you need to unplug then itcomes right out its pretty simple
