99 SLEv6 Brake light on on dash

Postby treetop_73 » Fri Mar 06, 2009 3:23 pm

My wife took over my solara when I got a company car and I don't drive it much. I recently got in and noticed that the brake light comes on on the dash like the parking brake is set. I have set the brake and took it off to see if that works but no. The light stays on for a while, then goes off, then comes back on. Is there a connection that could be shorting or something I should check?

Thanks in advance

Top off your brake fluid or check to see if the brake pads are low.

I'll check them both. The pads should be good, they aren't that old at all. But with the way she drives... :drinking:

A. just low fluid

B. Parking brake is out of adjustment and it still is illuminating the light

like my shop teacher said, dont just top off your master cylinder with out finding out the reason why its low!
