Be sure if your light sensor on your dash is not connected also.

The dash light sensor is not as important as the DRL. I take it your running HIDs? I am too. My dash sensor is still connected and it only turns your headlights on when its dark. The DRL has to be disconnected to run HIDs because of the low power. The dash sensor does not.

BUT if you want to disconnect it, pop up the sensor on the dash, follow the wire and disconnect it.
