pinout/voltage for speedo sending unit

I'm swapping a camry/solara trans into a different car. I'm considering running an autometer electronic speedo, rather than trying to adapt my original cable driven speedo with an mr2/alltrac sending unit.

Does anyone know the pinout for the camry/solara sending unit? I'm assuming it has ground, + voltage, and signal, but which pin is which and what voltage does it operate on?

for a 99 solara with a 3.0 v6 it looks like the speed sensor only has 2 wires. red for 12 volts power in and green for signal out.

i could have sworn it had 3 pins, i'll take a look again this afternoon

either way, i need to know which pin is which in order to wire things up

There are 3 wires. They are purple, blue and red with a blue stripe. Pictures to follow.

Sorry for the blurry picture. My scanner is not connected so I photographed it. I tried to make it clearer with the notes. The sensor is circled in green and you can see the labeled wires. It looks like there are two red with a blue stripe wires, but that is actually just to indicate the differences between the automatic and manual models. They ultimately go to the "gauge" fuse.
