Will Gen 1 Rims fit on a Gen 2 . yes i know why would someone ever do that. i need a set of winter rims, My Gen 2 has summer tires and i want to save myself the hassle of removing the rims, removing the tires then mounting and balancing 4 times a year and save some money as well.
Gen 2 rims are 215 55 17
Gen 1 rims are 205 60 16
Is this safe to do for a couple months out of the year?

I don't see any conflicts unlike going the opposite way.

There will be nothing wrong other than your speedometer running 2.4% faster. When your speedometer says 60 MPH, you're actually going just 58.6 MPH. The original tires overall diameter is 26.3 inch while the Gen 1 tires overall diameter is 25.7 diameter.

I'm not pulling these numbers out of my a$$ =D
