CV axles?
Hey peeps!
I searched, and didn't really get any grounded info, I own a 99 V6 SLE, and will be ordering new CV axles, the boots are torn, the axles cost less overall.
So I have a few questions about this for all of you who have done this already:
1) Any part numbers I should look for, should I consider getting new outer bearings too? I keep seeing like 12 different axle types for this car, and the camry as well.
2) The passenger side axle has a longer shaft, it has a bearing that is mounted in the rear engine mount.... does the C clamp that holds it in the mount come with the axle? <- just a pre- assembly disassembly question.
3) any brands I should consider?... websites to purchase from?.... been looking way too many options, and the prices are about the same
Oh yeah, Im also changing out the rear mount, already got it, and will be prepping it for sustained abuse by filling the rubber part in with liquid urethane, and no, Im boring it out, and refilling it with the urethane
Thank you in advance for your help, and dont kill me mods... I looked for this info, and didn't get the specifics
