I have a gen 1 SLE, do I have the RS3000 "VIP" alarm system or is it the RS3200?

Its not a horrible system, but its not up to par with some of todays technology.

It would be a really great system if you added another system to it, like a Compustar, or viper.

I did that, and I have both alarm sytems (compustar, and VIP) working together from my one remote.

My RS3000 fried... Dunno how, dunno why...
I was just driving, then I see all these smoke coming out from the e-brake and the armrest thing..... I thought my car was on fire!!! :evil: :evil: :evil:
Then I took apart the armrest and there lays the RS3000 cpu... Opened it, and some resistor or sth burnt and melted... :o :o :o
Now I have my Scytek + remote starter and im happy with it :D

I hate that I usually have to be within 5-10 ft of the car for the remote to work... and thats with new batteries
