alright pull the car intoo the garage today after driving around after i replaced my rotors... and when i pulled in and parked pulled the hand brake up and had a hard pop and then car keeped moving... i pulled console off and saw that it broke off...

has anyone else had this issue????

also how hard would it be to replace the whole cable?

not too hard, since if it broke the cable at the handle, that part of the cable is only about 2 feet long and goes into a splitter under the car and then the two cables to the individual rear wheels

jack the car up, take off the exhaust heat shield, and you'll see it

I hope you had good luck replacing that cable.

A couple of years ago, as I was getting into my car, I was carrying a heavy toolbox. I tried to put it in the passenger seat, but as I swung it over, it clipped the release button on the parking brake lever. It snapped right off. I went to the dealer to get a replacement button, but they dont sell it like that. I have to get a whole new parking brake lever assembly. That cost me $85. Still, it was an easy replacement.
