hey guys today i replaced the driver door handle but now the lock dont work, i mean when I press the door lock button the driver door lock do not slide. Anyone haved this problem and know how to fix it? thanks in advance :)

you mean it locks then it unlocks by it self? i have the same issue :oops: stealership is the only$$way ive heard of..sorry

I know this sounds like common sense (but as they say, common say may not be so common), but have you tried pulling the key out of the ignition first? It's kind of a not-as-great-as-Honda's-approach to keeping you from locking your keys in the car (with a Honda, the ONLY way you can lock the door is by remote or key).

no i mean that the driver lock dont do anything :-? and before i replaced the handle it worked fine... anyone know how to solve this?

the inside handle of the driver... why? idk i changed it for a new one and now the lock doesnt work.

No, I meant why as in was the old one defective (e.g. it broke apart), just wanted something better looking (e.g. perhaps going for a 2-tone effect), or if this was an outer handle, was the car in the accident before...?

The most likely solution might have been that you didn't hook the steel rod to the lock switch properly. Does it still lock by other means (e.g. the key or power lock button)? If it does, most likely that's all that it is. If not, a professional might be your better bet.

the other one was broken so I changed it,(the inside handle) and no it dont lock by the key or power lock button, :-? i have to check again if it is that i didnt hook the steel rod to the switch cuz i do it and it doesnt work... :-?

anyway THANKS FOR YOUR HELP is very apreciated... :)
