I need a copy of page from 2003 solara factory manual on how to test auto/self dimming mirror. I need to know how to hook it up to a battery, it has 3 pin connector so if you have page where connection is described I would really appreciate it

You want to test an auto dimming mirror???

Shine a bright light at the sensor as night, if it dims, it works

Occasionally, I test it out on the freeway at night, partly because it is one of my favorite features of the car. I hate bright lights in my eyes, don't you?

Anyway, for the official test, I believe this is what you are asking for.

Click on "mirror" and a few pages down, you'll see a test involving putting black tape on the sensor and so forth, I THINK.

I don't know about any of the previously mentioned tests; however, if you look at the bottom right side of the mirror you'll see a light sensor.

When you're driving at night with someone behind you, cover the sensor with any appropriate tool, like your finger. After a few seconds you should notice the headlights behind you getting brighter in the mirror (that is, the mirror stops auto-dimming)

If it works anyway. If not: check fuses first.
