OEM or aftermarket rotors

OEM or aftermarket rotors

Postby andrew_alfonso » Sat Sep 15, 2007 7:05 am

Hi everyone,

I just replaced my front disc brake pads with OEM. However, I still notice a pulsating vibration when I depress my brake pedal on highway speeds, which tells me I should have replaced the rotors as well. Should I go with OEM rotors or aftermarket ones should be fine? I heard Akebono brand actually makes the OEM rotors, are they available at my local Autozone? How about Brembo? Please recommend me a good brand, as after I bought my Solara new last 2001 and after 104,000 miles, I think it is time to replace the rotors....

Thanks for your replies!
