What spark plugs do you like the best

Its time for me to replace my spark plugs and wires. I did a lot of searching on the forum and didnt really find exactly what I was looking for. Pretty much all I found was that Denso IK22's are good, but only if your supercharged. And a lot of you like the NGK IX's. The owners manual says use twin ground electrode platinum spark plugs. I found that a lot of you are using Iridium spark plugs. Are iridiums better than platinum and will irdiums work just as good or better for our car? And does it really matter if you use twin electrode spark plugs? I remember checking my spark plugs when I first bought my car and they were Denso's. I dont remember which kind. I am thinking about using either the Denso IK20's or the NGK IX's. Do any of you know much about the Denso IK20's. I have not seen any posts were people have talked about them? What are your recomendations? Im looking for something that will work well and make the engine run as smooth as possible. My engine idle fluctuates a bit. Im leaning towards the Denso IK20's are they good or bad for my car?

As far as wires go Im sure those dont matter as much. They just have to work. But I want to dress up my engine a bit so I was wondering what the red plug wires you guys use that Ive seen on some of your car domains. How are the NGK blues too? Im open for suggestions on the wires.

Theres not much to say. I remember when I was changing my plugs, my car didnt come with Denso, which surprised me, since Toyota owns Denso. (I think they were NGKs).

Regardless, I replaced them with IK20s. Iridiums do give you a more constant spark, so if thats what you want, Iridiums are the way to go.

Here's a bit of trivia. The first Iridium plug was made by Denso in 97, not long before the first Solara came out. It probably wasnt road-tested enough back then, and they chose to stick with Platinum because it was tried and true. It doesn't mean Iridiums wont work, because they started loading Lexus ES's with the Iridium plugs a few years later.

I used the Denso Iridiums SK20s. Those are the oem plugs on the es300. They are supposed to last for 100k miles. All other iridium plugs last for like 30k miles. So if you want iridium get the SK20s.

I've had the Denso IK22's in for over 40,000....still love them.
