Thinking about a interior park brake on modification

Since I keep my steering wheel tilted high to clear my legs, the indicator is obscured. The side effect is that I might drive with the parking brake on and the brake pads and rotors need to be replaced. The V6 just overpowers the parking brake.

So, I'm thinking about getting a frequency switch attached to the speedometer sensor and anding it to the parking brake light which will activate a buzzer if (speed > ~0 MPH and parking brake on and then activate a buzzer.

The speed is probably distance so that leaves another possibility:

If (parking light on) and (distance sensor pulses) turn on Buzzer. Reset Buzzer when parking light goes out.

I haven't looked at the wiring diagram or measured any possible signals, but it definatley seems like a useful option.

I have a 2000 SLE V6

Anybody else having the same problem. Any interest?

What problem? Driving with the parking brake on? :-?

And honestly, you'll KNOW if the parking brake is activated when you're driving ;)
