NEED HELP!!! HEADLIGHT LENS!!

yea i got the lens off the headlight and was sanding it down with soap and water on a 1500 grit sandpaper and i waxed it and it is fogged up like a motherfu**er...... there was a tutorial on this and i followed it perfectly and have done this before but the last time i did it it didnt fog up like this am i not buffing the wax good enough???? AAAHHH HELP!!

Well if it's any consolation, I tried it and the results weren't what I expected (I even had to wax it every other car wash)... Someone taught me to use chrome and metal polish, and my headlights still look like new after doing that even as long as 5 months ago!
