Postby Sap Z » Thu Jun 07, 2007 2:33 pm

Hey guys,

The check engine light went on in my car and came back with a P402 code. I know that stuff to do with EGR.. anyone have this happen to them?

Whats wrong? (possibly)
How much would it cost?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks guys. :(

1st: it is NOT an o2 sensor, according to my manual.

2nd: Get a damn manual.

If you have a 4: EGR stuck open, Vacuum or EGR hose attached to wrong pipe, MAP sensor malfunction, or PCM malfunction.

If a v6: EGR or EGR VSV stuck open, short in EGR VSV circuit, open or short in GR valve position sensor circuit, EGR valve sensor position malfunction, or PCM malfunction.
