Transmission and Guage problem

Transmission and Guage problem

Postby Bravefan » Thu Mar 01, 2007 2:02 pm

First I want to thank everyone that has helped me in the past. This website has been a great help.

Recently I ran into a crub going 55 mph. This happened on the drivers side at an intersection. Both front and back were flattened. There isn't to much damage to the suspension. The problem is when I drive the guage that reads my mph drops down to zero and the car goes into nuetral. All the other guages stay on. It will kick back on 5-25 seconds later. I took it to a mechanic and they played around with my negative cable and some connections to the transmission. Please any help would be great.

Sounds like you push your Axle into your tranny which might have bend the sensors and rods.see if there is any leak around that area. Hope that made sense.
