P0135, Oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 1

Hi,
My check engine light came on. the code is P0135 which is for oxygen sensor. The mechanic told me that its Bank 1 Sensor 1.

I have read confusing things about which sensor is exactly Bank 1 Sensor 1. Is it the one upfront in the engine section of the one that is behind below the back seat?

The mechanic said it the one in the engine bay.

also, i have 3 different part numbers :drinking: all from toyota:
89465-06020/06100/06130... which one is the right one??

help....

its the rear bank of the engine. so its not the front that you can see by the oil, its not after the cat. Trust me, i just did o2 work like 15min ago! lol

Castro,
thanks for the reply:
can you elaborate a bit please?

are you saying bank 1 sensor 1 is the hard to reach one behind the seat?
do you know what part you used? did you use 06020?

where did you order the sensor from and was it difficult to replace?

umm i just went to the toyo dealer and told them i needed an oxygen sensor and what code you pulled. That way they would look up the code on their computers and see exactly which o2 sensor is gone, nice thing about doing it that way is if it doesnt work, its their bad. They'll be mroe willing to exchange/replace it.

Rear bank is on the header closest to the firewall and you can only see it clearly from under the car. So once again, not the one near the oil filter, and not the one after the Catalytic converter. PS I accessed mine by going under the car, dunno how you'd get to it using the seat technique

Is this a Gen 1-1.5 V6 Solara? If it is it's the rear O2 sensor. Depends on vehicle emissions where it's located and which one you need.
