Are there any custom Whiteline FSB brackets for Gen1?

Postby PTSOLARA » Mon Aug 07, 2006 8:22 pm

For 3 years, I have been enjoying the additionaly control with the FSB whiteline for my Gen 1 Solara. The bad thing is that i have the stock front brackets to hold this FSB .

The standard brackets break every now and then. I have replaced two times already. i hate to do this again (it just broke again today)

Does anyone out there know of a BIGGER brackets so i don't have to replace this every time. If so, please provide a place to get it and the part#.

I do believe Whiteline does carry custom FSB brackets. Just find the size of the white FSB which is 22in?? Might find it in their catalog or send an e-mail to them. Might take a couple business days for a reply though. I'm kinda doing this but my suspension setup has been put on hold so this is the only info i can relay to ya. The custom brackets with super pro poly bushings.

Pictures for Whiteline FSB issues

Postby PTSOLARA » Tue Aug 08, 2006 9:12 pm

Here are some pictures of my current iWhiteline FSB ssue. This has happened a few times already. i need stronger brackets to hold these bigger bars in place.

BTW, i have emailed someone at Whiteline about the brackets a while back but they responded that they have nothing for my car.

What bushing are you using? My poly bushings that came with my bar look smaller... perhaps the larger bushing and a little over torquing the bolts is causing the breaks. The brackets only take 14 ft/lbs of torque.

Appreciate my services cause you'll love my e-mail:
Contact: Wayne Cunningham [wayne@whiteline.com.au]

Thank you for your e-mail and for purchasing a Whiteline sway bar.

The sway bar # BTF38 is supplied with the D-bushes to allow fitment of the sway bar using the OEM mounting brackets. The issue that you have mentioned is not something that has been bought to our attention as being an issue. What we do have is the # KS6 (universal saddle kit) & # W0400-size (D-bush kit to suit the KS6 saddles) available for separate sale if they are required.

These can be purchased through our exclusive US distributor, there details are as follows:

Global Performance Parts
4554 - 128th Ave
Holland. MI 49424. USA
Ph: 616 399 9025
Fax: 616 399 9174

I hope this helps you.

Subject: Whiteline Front Sway Bar BTF38 Camry/Solara Application

Hello Whiteline, I recently purchased the front sway bar for a Toyota Solara 2000. I found out that a another Solara owner had issues with your front sway and contacted you for the fix of the fitment issue with the OEM brackets to secure the bushings with the oversized bar onto the links. I believe they’re the OVERSIZE Clamps?

Here is the reference link

Need them with in a week’s time by Feb 10 at the latest.

How come that FSB looks blue? My whiteline is silver.
It was a pain getting the bracket over the bushings, but no issues with mine as of yet. Only had it a couple thousand miles now.

Thanks!!

TheTamago, thanks for the info. I will contact that vendor first thing in the morning. i can hear subtle noise now that the brackets are broken.

To answer pythonjosh's question, i was involved with a major group buy a few years back in one of the older camry forum. Both my FSB and RSB from whiteline are blue.

Maybe Whiteline modified the design and changed the color? But blue works well for my car since it blends in with my blue tokico shocks (that is, if people care to look under my car).

hey, just wondering if you had any updates on your issue? and if you did end up replacing the brackets with the ones from whiteline.

I've probably had my whiteline swaybars for over 5 - 6 years now and I've broken the brackets twice now as well. Just curious if everything worked out, I'm definitely looking to get a pair for myself.

i think the brackets are fine, it would probably be easier to locate the bushing made for a bigger bar...

i do have the larger bushings for the thicker bar. I have the bushings that originally came with the whiteline swaybars but only the stock brackets. It doesn't seem like everyone is having this similar issue, but there seems to be a few of us that just keep getting broken brackets.
