Honestly, i don't think so; but everyone around me thinks that i drive a luxury car. The perceptions has a lot to do how a car is viewed upon.

I'm stationed at Lackland, which is in Southern San Antonio. A 91 Ford Taurus is a luxury car here.

It depends on the area you drive; if you're surrounded by Bentleys, then no.

My dealer said that the way that they marketed the Solara was to give the impression of a Lexus SC for the price of a Camry. In any event, I'm satisfied with the ride and the leather (I could do without the faux wood of the gen 1 though).

I do think the SLE is semi luxury especially with them navi systems.

Depends on what you consider luxury. I think eating at Red Lobster is Luxurious!

Bottom line. If you don't get hit with a luxury tax when you buy the car then it is not luxury car. i.e. Acura TL requires that tax. Then comes the gas guzzler tax if you got them monster power v8 cars. i.e. Cobra.

When I think Luxury I think... Lexus, Acura, Infinity, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lincoln.
