thats sweet! is there anything special you have to do for the push button on the side?

Haha, no it's an auto. I just bought a shift boot on ebay and stuffed it under the shift cover. It's secured by the screws that are already under there.

Haha, no it's an auto. I just bought a shift boot on ebay and stuffed it under the shift cover. It's secured by the screws that are already under there.


I assume you mean the O/D button. I cut the wires when I took out the stock shifter and hooked them up to the new one. You can't see it in the pic because of the glare, but it has an O/D button on top. I took a quick look on ebay and I can't seem to find my particular shift knob anymore. I did this mod years ago, waaaayyy before I discovered solaraguy. =P

i think he was talking about the side button that you have to press in order to move the shift stick back and forth

Ohhh, well the whole thing itself pushes down. So you push down on the knob and pull it back. Every time someone drives my car for the first time I always have to tell them.

really? so thats all that side button does. I always wanted to get an after market shifter but thought it wouldnt work because the button

No you don't have to worry about that as much as finding a knob that has an O/D button.

i really never take my car out of o/d so i dont think it would be that big of a problem. I could just hook it up to a toggle switch or something

Really?
I use mine a lot.
When racing off the line I start in L gear w/OD.
When doing a rolling start im in 2 gear doin 40mph, and waiting for that 3rd honk. :)
I really want an MT. 8)
