Good job on deciding on getting a gun. 8) 8) 8)

Yes, upload your pics to photobucket and then copy the IMG code for a certain pic.
Then paste the code in the thread. Make sure you resize them so they dont blow up the screen.

The thing with your canopy is wind.
Wind is very very very bad when spraying.
Then your next enemy is gona be the sun.
You dont have a garage to spray in???

If you do then make sure you cover up as much stuff as you can.
You dont want dust and dirt flying around while your tryin to paint.

If you can afford K Sport COs then you should be able to buy a cheap but decent paint job from a place that knows what they are doing. But if you must know the KS COs that fit the Gen 1 Solara are labeled on the K Sport website as fitting the Camry MCV20L chassis.
Trust me, I'm a technician.

DIY ftw man! A few tips for what can be a professional paint job:
Mask off everything that cant be removed and isn't being painted.
Wipe the entire car down with a tack cloth before and between EVERY coat.
Keep a regular distance between your paint gun and the car.
Color sanding and clear sanding are everything, start with 1000 grit and work your way up.
When it comes time to BUFF: use Meguiars cut and polish compound.
Lemme know if you need any help. 8)

Not to be a smart a&# but you got serious issues goin on here. Every spot in every pic is going to show BIG time.

See on the doors where the paint edges are where you sanded? Your original paint isn't feathering out. Every line is going to show, kinda like you meant for it to. Not only that but you'll be lucky if the new paint doesn't burn those edges and curl up on you.
Even if you use glazing putty on the edges it's still going to show big time.

The front end (first pic) is some serious contaminate in the paint. That's why it's rolling up around the edges of each spot.

Way too many things to point out here, but I'd give some serious thought to having someone do the prep work (sanding, filling etc.) and teach you as they go, then if you want to give it a shot at spraying start with spraying the primer. That'll get you a little more used to spraying.

I saw you already bought your paint. Hopefully you got Base/Clear. The base sprays out really nice and drys really quick. You would almost have to try and make it run to get any runs. The clears a different story. It comes already reduced. All you do is add the activater, but it will run on you if you're not careful.
The base will look like S*$@ until you put the clear on.

Before you even prime, you need to wipe heavily with a Prep-sol wax and grease remover. Then wet sand with 400g. Prep-Sol and then hit the paint.

If your friend told you to use a roller to put everything on......get a new friend. Dude aint got a clue.

I doubt it, but I hope I helped some.
