mac-phisto I am taking a similar route, but luckily I got a friend whose a bodywork guy and he is going to do the painting for me. The plan is to paint (whatever was chrome before) to match the color of the car. I'll post pics once it's done.

~SolaRaSpeed~ the Rims are Momo V10s. The size is 17x7 42mm offset.

It looked better like this, im inlove with your rims, if u paint it chrome or silver to match ur car then it does not look special anymore, chrome is so common out there, remixed color is new style now.

Paint ur Calibur "the brakes" in chrome or whatever color except black/grey. Remove ur Wheel-pads "whatever underneat ur car near the wheel, every Solara 99-03 has them, the 4 pads, take it off, ur car look more sporty, and if u install the Kaminari Lipkit, oh man ur car will be cool since it is very clean.

Thanks.

RandySolara - I thought about taking these off I'm just not sure if I want the tires to kick up more road grime on the side of my car. But thanks for the suggestion I might do it if they ever get the road work done in my town. Nothing like cleaning road tar off the side of your car. :D

makethemusic72 - Honestly I don't know what it would cost to have them put in. I have one of the coolest brother-in-laws whose a mechanic. He mounted and balanced the tires, did a 4 wheel allignment, installed the rsb, installed the exhaust and installed the springs for $0.00. I did pay him something, but he didn't even want that.

I believe that there are some other posts on here that give some round-a-bout figures, but I would guess it would really depend on where you live and probably how hurt for business the mechanic is (might discount the job)

Hey I8Nitro01. I have several relatives who live Nashville (Madison & Hendersonville) and I go there a lot. It's only 100 miles from Huntsville, Alabama. I would love to see your car in person next time I visit if that's ok with you. Jimmm

I guess that the black wheel/tire look is just not something I'm used to. There appears to be no edge to the wheel and it throws me off. A second look and I could tell it's lowered.

Nice, my brother brought up removing the pinstripe, now I know what it looks like. Looks good.

When you pulled the pin striping did you put any type of chemical (WD-40?) to make it peel off?

I just peeled the pinstripe off real slow and then used goof off to get the adhesive residue off. It didn't take much effort to get the adhesive off. I used some wax after I used the goof off just to make sure that I got all the chemicals off. Took about an hour or so.

Yeah you guys are probably right. My main reason for not removing them was because there was a lot of roadwork in my area. It has slowed down some so I think that it should be ok. I think I might remove them tonight when I get home from work. I'll post some pics after I take them off. As usual thanks for the feedback everyone.
