no pics

Postby duckie77 » Tue Mar 10, 2009 7:15 pm

No pics yet, not until winter finally goes away and it sure doesn't seem to want to go anytime soon. I live in Medicine Hat Alberta Canada. My Solara is a 99, Silver auto, has the handling package, exhaust, the S/C. near future plans are for new wheels and tires, and a Carbon Fiber hood as the stock hood has hail damage. Thinking about tweaking the computer as it falls on it's face when it shifts gears now. I know that the computer pulls timing etc so it doesn't tax the trans, but it seems to me to be excessive right now. Anyone have any idea what it should run in the 1/4??

what u need to do in my opinion, as i have a 02 solara sc auto now with 6psi is reprogram the rev limiter to 68 or 6900 rpm's, as the rev limiter is set at 6200 rpm's stock, this is the problem with the auto's, they need to rev more through the gears, so it doesnt bog down as much in between gears to make better use of the sc............... :drinking:
