I recently bought a 99 and have tracked my mileage for the first few fill-ups. I drive back roads to work so I guess that would be in between city and hwy.

Here is the data;

Gallons-------Miles------Price----------MPG
16.5----------347-------2.58--------21.03030303
14.3----------353-------2.34--------24.68531469
12.2----------260-------2.09--------21.31147541
That's really interesting. I've been actually tracking my data also. i will post in a bit. it's running the same as your even with my o2 sensor needing to be changed.

My check engine light came on this morning and I got the P0125 code, so I'm guess mine may be shot as well. That or coolant level, thermo, or another sensor.

To be completely honest, this car hasn't been maintained well and I got 24 mpg 100% city, and that's just normal driving not worrying about mileage at all...

BTW: 1MZ with 108k w/ auto
1999 DWP Toyota Solara SLE-V6 w/Sport Package

Planning on TRD springs/Tokico shocks/wheel spacers(rear only)

Averaging about 20-24mpg, with P0402/P0401 CEL and sitting in 75% stop-n-go traffic in NJ.

When I take AC trips tho (80+ most of the way), it can easily hit 26-28mpg.

when i go easy on the throttle and try to coast towards red lights i get about 28mpg highway and 23-24 city. v6 mt 80k

edit: and that's with 18s and a sub and amp in the trunk and about an extra 30 lbs of deadener.

edit 2: and when i say easy, i mean people passing me as i accelerate and keep it under 2500. its a misconception that keeping the rpms low alone will improve gas mileage (although it will), but it matters how fast you get to those rpms. also helps to keep your foot at a constant spot on the pedal instead of trying to maintain a constant speed when it comes to hills

1999 V6 MT getting about 25mpg mostly Highway driving but lots of stop and go on the interstate commute to work, probably only average 45-55mph (depending on traffic) over the 40mi of hwy to and from work
