im pretty sure once u initilize it back to stock, the safcII should be good to go.



but then agian, the safcII does use non-volatial memory, which allows it to save/hold the settings even with out power, but the grade/quality of the chip might be in question now, since i think the chip MIGHT have some curroption which caused you ur inaccurate MAF readings.

Hopefully it was just a SAFCII fart, haha.

Check my thread in the FI section for the "basic" settings for the safcII, these area for the safcII to work with ur ecu, and they are not tuneing settings.

well...i guess I'm gonna need a new SAFC 2 now. re-initialized everything and re-entered it in and hooked up the wires, CEL came immediately right back on...thanks for the tip tho Dawgz, at least now I kinda know my way around it.

^^I'll edit my other post...just FYI, I contacted Apex directly to see if SAFC 2's usually need to be replaced over time, short answer is no. Based on my description of what was going on with the SAFC, the tech could tell that it was functioning properly, so the SAFC doesn't need to be replaced. Only thing we could think of would be the change in barometric pressure, since moving from NC to AL. It could have an effect on it, guess I'll have to find a dyno and see.
