look into whether a 90k tune up was done. 90k tune up would involve timing belt, a/c belt, spark plugs, spark wires, fuel filter, water pump, pcv valve, head valve gasket, etc. It sould some of these thing may not have been done resulting in poor performance and MPG.

Welcome, you should be able to find all the answers you need here.

Sorry i forgot to mention,i bought the car with aprox 90000 miles and i had a 90000 mile scheduled maintenance done.I actually took it to a dealer and they told me i had to do everything,i then took it to another dealer who quoted me way less than the first one.The first one wanted $900 including replacing the timing belt(timing belt was done at 86000,it's actually written on the engine bay),the second told me just over $300(turns out most of the work had already been done). The last dealer seemed more honest but they had me baffled charging $40 for oil change.

Welcome!! You're pretty lucky to have a V6 manual, it seems thats what all the auto guys wish they had. I wouldn't worry too much about moding the car even with 100,000 miles unless you're not planning on keeping it that long. It should last another 100,000 miles with the timing belt done and with other maintenance.
